–îˆó ¡Mail a claim note with survey report and Documents Required to the Insurance Company either directly by the Insured or through SCUA.
‡E Settlement of claimed amount
¡Some 2 - 3 months will be required before settlement of the claimed amount (subject to adjustment according to the Insurance Policy).



Measures to prevent aggravation of damage when you discover damage

Make every effort to prevent an aggravation of damage.


¡Entry of remarks on the delivery receipt

Damage discovered to the packing ;
If the packing was found damaged, such damage should be noted in the delivery receipt as a remark, and some photos for such damage should be taken.
Damage discovered to the container;
If the damage (abnormality) was discovered to the container, please check the sealing mark, and confirm whether or not it is the same as the number in B/L, before opening the door of the container.
Please take photos for the damage (abnormality) to container.
Please check quantity of cargo and external condition of packings after opening the container.

SCUA conduct not only a survey, but also settle the claim on behalf of the insurers concerned.

¡Survey Agent

SCUA are only appointed as surveyors for the insurers concerned. At your request, we carry out survey on the damaged cargo and issue our survey report to the insured upon settlement of our survey fees. The Insured has to claim the loss directly to the insurance company with a claim note, our survey report and documents required.
